Awesome Video!
This video was great, but it also highlighted one thing that I absolutely hate about using the official massivecraft skin: Glowstone. why does it look like weird honey rock stuff? It kind of look like somebody just blew snot all over our lanterns and it hardened there. Is it a cool idea for finding it native in the Nether? Yeah, it looks sweet! But it looks horrrriiiiblleeee everywhere else.
Until Jeb makes craftable lanterns a thing, I would really appreciate it if we could maybe have the old lanterns back.
It’s only a 5 second process to open terrain.png, copy the lit lantern texture and paste it over glowstone.

craftable lanterns ARE a thing, and the glowstone is way better ike this than the OG
minecraft one. bravo to wessex.
I see that they are a thing now! I was away for that update, thanks for pointing me in that direction!
Sadly, they still don’t really work for things like lamposts or compact lighting because they require redstone activation and that simply takes up too much space for most simple lighting needs :/
And I fully agree that the massivecraft skin is by FAR AND WIDE better than the vanilla and even the John Smith! That’s why I use it. The ONLY THING I have any major issues with is the glowstone skin. Cause its drippy (which, like I said, is AWESOME in its native environment) and that makes most fixtures that actually use it look kinda wonky.
I wish that the standard lantern didn’t have to be redstone powered or Id prolly use them instead!
