Protected Factions are coming to MassiveCraft!

This highly anticipated addition to the Factions Plugin enables faction leaders to protect their members by fully disabling PVP within their own faction territory!

Build, recruit, roleplay and explore our survival worlds, using the toggleable protected flag to be free to carve out your own corner of peace and harmony, completely protected from PVP and raiders!

What is a Protected Faction?

Protected Factions utilise the protected flag to fully disable PVP damage for all of their faction members, while on their own territory. Use of the protected flag has no regal upkeep and can be used by factions of all ages, both old and new.

The protected flag can be activated anytime by faction leaders, or players with the ‘flag’ permission, similar to the existing ‘open’ and ‘monsters’ flags. Once activated, there is a short warm-up period of one hour where members are still vulnerable to PVP damage. Once this warm up period has expired, protected status is fully in effect.

Members of a protected faction can still receive PVP damage in the wilderness or in other faction territories, as well as all warzones. Members of a protected faction can also not deal PVP damage to other players in any territory outside of a warzone. This means that when sieged, members of a protected faction cannot participate and instead must either rely on other factions or surrender to the attacking faction outright.

The protected flag can be disabled, but there is a one month cooldown before it can be activated again by the same faction.

The addition of protected factions enables a wide array of communities to settle in our survival worlds and carve out their own piece of land in a PVP-free environment at no additional regal cost.

Alt factions are not allowed to use the protected flag for the protected status.
