Introduction
The construction of Regalia is well underway, and we have soon finished the first district. It was high time we released a bit more information since so many people have been asking questions, and I have not responding to any of them because I have been busy the entire time managing the project.

Regarding Prospera
People who currently have a propera shop will need to log a support ticket within 3 weeks of the release of Regalia (most likely on the forum, we will release more information when this starts) to request their shop to be moved. Prospera will be removed after 3 weeks, so there is a time table to adhere to. Prospera shop owners may then choose to either get a regalia shop for free, or get a silver discount on Merchant houses. Merchant houses are in the same district as the shops, and together with the shops the only place in Regalia that allows chestshops.

Regarding Houses
Houses are being sold by the general space they have, but we have split up the diffrent sizes in diffrent districts to group people together. Houses will be managed by Worldguard, in a similar manner to Prospera currently. This means  your house is yours and yours alone, or perhaps yours and some of your friends, you may assign additional owners. The following levels are currently planned.

Imperial District – Oligarchs
Oligarchs (Arc’s in short) are  the top of the food chain in Regalia, the richest players on the server. These are the owners of large factions, trade federations and generals of large armies. These citizens of Regalia have expanded rights within the city, better spots in the Cathedral during events, reserved spots in the Council house during meetings, and much more. These citizens may also be more involved with city politics in the future when we flesh out the concept.

Gold District – Nobility
Nobility are the second rank of the aristocracy. These are generally the second in command to the Oliarchs, as well as religious figures of high command. These are the general populace that enjoy some benefits in the city, but not as much as the Oligarchs. They may occupy political seats when we flesh out the concept.

Merchant District – Merchants
This district is rather self explainatory, any rank of citizen or noble may own a shop here, as well as a house somewhere else, or simply choose to just own a shophouse and live on the second floor. Merchants are otherwise classified as Citizenry.

Azure District – Citizenry
Citizens make up of the general population in Regalia. They occupy the common seats in all the public buildings and hold no general benefits in the city.

Commons District – Commoners
Commoners are the bottom of the food chain in Regalia. They generally do not participate in any public Offices and serve the higher ranks in numerous ways such as soldiers, workers, smithy’s etc.

Alms District – Beggars and Vagrants
This part of the town is generally not the best place to be in Regalia. It is the ran down backside of the city, far away from the splendor of the Imperial district. People that live here generally don’t have a job, their houses are in a poor state and streetfights are the order of the day. This may also be the best place to hide as a criminal or assassin.

Undercity – Vampires and other things that cannot bear sunlight
The Undercity is planned, but because this is about as big as the city above (if not bigger) it will be built and finished much later then Regalia will. The Undercity will have sewers, it’s own public buildings as well as houses for sale. Vampires are not forced to live here, but if you intend to participate in the citylife above the ground you better hide the fact that you are a vampire, Regalia is a holy city with the Cathedral as central authority on all that is holy.

Other funfacts for Regalia
Parcour elements are planned on public buildings, we want to give people the ability to explore the city from all it’s views be it the wall or the top of the Imperial cathedral, or race with contestants to the top of the Council house. We will be hosting harbor sales, Admin generated sales with rediculous low prices at the harbor. These will have very limited stocks, so the first person to notice them and make use of them, wins the prize. We will also be hosting ships going to all other worlds. We are still considering wether we want to give players the ability to own ships as well. Regalia will also have special districts, such as the Elven district currently being built. These are generally hotspots for Roleplay and such.

More information on Regalia will be released as time goes by, but for now here is some pictures:

So basically, Prospera shop owners need to inform the team members to move there prospera shop? and shop owners get a free shop in regalia?

  3. madus 2012-08-15 at 18:01

Can i both own a house merchant house and ship?

  4. CRACKPOTATOE 2012-08-15 at 18:25

May I suggest you make signposts as 1 fence and glowstone (or any other block) to put the sign on, putting a sign on a fence makes the sign “float” and is quite unsightly like the ones in SilverEdge.

Nice report, it will bring the server to a whole new level.

Do you have any idea at which price level the Imperial District – Oligarchs will be at ?

I was wondering if some of us will be able to help, in the building of this city. I thought for sometime that if you want to get this done in an efficient manor, you could involve teamwork. For one, I volunteer to help build such a glorious city.
It would mean the world to me and possibly others if we were allowed to contribute and help in the building process.

Read the post about regalia and the grid, it’ll tell you how you can help.

Yeah, except I muted you when you decided to mass spam my PM’s when I was making some food.

      • Shambang16 2012-08-16 at 00:15

Monmarty, I send my sincere apologys. I am very sorry for doing that. I was mad because someone had told me that you wanted to build the place all by yourself. With that being told to me, in all-out furiousness and confusion I massive spammed you.

        Regards ~Shambang16~

Will we be able to build our own things? It looks like in the first picture you’ve already constructed the houses.

    • CRACKPOTATOE 2012-08-15 at 21:53

      ^^

    • MonMarty 2012-08-15 at 22:50

Yes and no. We require people to keep a certain code of buildstyle, but within the style people are free to rebuild their house. This however does not count for the Merchant district, these houses may never be changed as they are shops.

  8. Mecharic 2012-08-15 at 22:58

I see one single issue with the idea that houses can’t have chest shops: the only reason I would buy a place in Regalia is to set up a shop there. Why spend money on a house when you can’t make money off of it? (is a greedy little bastard lol)

As for ships, would we be able to have shops on the upper level and, say, portals on the lower? (assuming we can purchase them).

Finally, I can’t wait to see this city in it’s full :D

    • Mecharic 2012-08-16 at 00:17

Also, do you like the noble houses I’ve made Monmarty? I may need help decorating them though :/

    • Shambang16 2012-08-16 at 02:06

“Why spend money on a house when you can’t make money off of it,” you ask?

Well for one, I and possibly others who live in the wilderness and have no faction, or live far away for their faction to protect them. Well…. I live in fear everyday that i might get greifed or attacked while I’m trying to make armor, tools or weapons. Even when I’m trying to store stuff, I’m always scared of someone sneaking up behind me, and robbing me of my earnings.

So I for one would love if to have a house in Regalia, where I can live and know that
      I am safe and protected.

      Regards ~Shambang16~

      • Mecharic 2012-08-16 at 21:53

I meant more on a faction-basis then a lonr basis, but I see your point.

  9. Gsewell116 2012-08-16 at 01:56

So… Are vampires going to be hunted now or….

    • illogicalleaf314 2012-08-16 at 03:17

In a roleplay aspect. Just, don’t flaunt being vampire in spawn, only come out at night, and build up a roleplay character for yourself! :D
And, obviously don’t bloodlust or jump, you’ll give yourself away. Nonchalant!

I love the idea of vampires being forced to hide. For one, it’ll put an end to “5 silver 4 me 2 infect u at spawn”.

      • Gsewell116 2012-08-19 at 04:03

But… That’s kinda unfair. I mean, are thy going to not have as many rights or what?

        • tony371 2012-08-28 at 14:52

So will pvp be allowed at spawn? ( killing vampires and such?

          • 0kameron0 2012-10-29 at 21:19

No I don’t think so… PVP has never been enabled at spawn since I’ve been playing…

  10. madus 2012-08-16 at 04:50

Please make information site about regalia. Like the silver and daenshore pages.

    • madus 2012-08-16 at 04:51

      Silveredge*

      • illogicalleaf314 2012-08-16 at 05:00

I imagine there will be, but to keep us constantly updated when there are changes, this is probably more convenient.

        • madus 2012-08-16 at 05:12

I just hope it come few days before regalia comes put. So we can know were to buy house embassie and such

  11. savagesun 2012-08-16 at 04:51

Can we own more than one thing? Such as.. a ship, a house, and a merchant house?

  12. Mwslocum 2012-08-16 at 06:14

What are the the requirements to be able to buy a house in the Imperial District. It says people with powerful factions an such but im in a faction that is just me swslocum and a trusted (Volumeone). Im known on the server but im not in a “power” faction. So i guess my question is will i be able to purchase a house there. Or will I need to make a faction and make it powerful (Ive done this before it gets boring after a while thats why in a faction with 3 people and we do what we want)

    • CRACKPOTATOE 2012-08-16 at 17:10

I would like to know this too, my faction isn’t exactly a huge power but I am also known on the server.

On another note I think it would be wise to not have Regalia on the Dynmap. People can see how it is coming along on the Dynmap and it would be more of a surprise if it wasn’t shown there.

      • Shambang16 2012-08-16 at 17:36

I agree and disagree, with Potatoe.

        • Mecharic 2012-08-16 at 21:55

I think that to have a house a faction/individual should only need the money for it.

          • Mwslocum 2012-08-16 at 23:53

I agree that we should just be able to afford it and there should be no other requirements

          • Norsk_Xenophile 2012-08-18 at 05:01

            Same here.

  13. knighkk 2012-08-16 at 11:11

    Please make airships/zepplins…?

  14. Shambang16 2012-08-17 at 13:37

Is there gonna be a day for us players to tour regalia, the housing districts, and see what we want to buy/ live in? (Like an open house day, where architects, drafters, craftsman, rich people, and the privileged few, etc… Can tour the houses and see what they like and don’t like. So when it comes time to buy the house they’ll know what they want?)

    Regards ~Shambang16~

  15. southw3i3n3d 2012-08-17 at 16:23

Where can we find specific details on the requirements for living in each district?

    • Illogicalleaf314 2012-08-19 at 08:33

By asking what they are. Go onto the forums and ask in Hardy’s question thread. Although, I think there aren’t really restrictions, just privelages. As long as you go along with the general roleplay theme of things.

  16. Phoenix_R3born 2012-08-17 at 22:34

I am assuming the day Regalia comes out it’s going to be chaos along the lines of Purchasing/Viewing homes and shops. I hope the beginnings of this new world are organized and controlled.

  17. Norsk_Xenophile 2012-08-18 at 04:57

I’m in the faction Midgard. Would I just be able to go to Regalia once it is finished and buy a shop in the Merchant District? Would it be that simple or would it be more complex? Also, what would it take to be a citizen in the Azure District? And what would the specific build style be for the buildings in the Azure District? Would you be able to stay in your faction if you are a Regalian Citizen? And would shops in near the current spawn be moved to the Merchant District? BTW, I didn’t read all the comments, so idk if any on my questions have been answered. But I work at the big publishing company, owned by Bee something-or-other. Information about current near-spawn shops like that would be great!

  18. TuckyTofu 2012-08-21 at 23:29

i cant post of the prospera shop forum and my helpop on it was considered null… it says i dont have the correct permission to post on it but i have to post on it to get my shop moved :(

    • illogicalleaf314 2012-08-27 at 03:21

You don’t have permission to because you never created an account.

  19. paleo787 2012-08-26 at 15:33

    this looks really cool! :D

  20. tony371 2012-08-28 at 14:53
