Emerging from the Temples of Golemi, Siege Golems have arrived onto MassiveCraft!

“You should have acted. They’re already here. The Elders told of their return. Their absence was merely a delay. Until the time after the gates of Golemi were opened, When the sons and daughters of Aloria would spill their own blood. But no-one wanted to believe they even existed! And when the truth finally dawned: It came with indiscriminate fire and fury.”

– Citizen of Havenreach after witnessing a band of soldiers using Siege Golems during a furious siege clash.

Harness the power of the Siege Golems and add a new dimension to your raid and sieging strategy, coming to all the survival worlds on the 24th July at 9PM BST/4PM EST!

Siege Golem Mechanics and Information

Siege Golems use TNT to fire projectiles at a designated angle towards a target. A single Siege Golem can hold up to 16 TNT at once (this is reset to 0 on server restart).

Maximum Range: ~85 blocks at a 45 degree angle.
Firing Rate: 8.57 shots per minute. Siege Golems have a 7 second cooldown after every shot fired.
Delay between Explosion: 0.6 seconds between when the TNT hits and explosion occurs.
Damage: Damage is dealt in a six block radius, with the greatest damage being in the epicentre of the blast. High accuracy is rewarded with high damage.
Lightning Rod Supercharge: Increases TNT damage and radius by 15% for one shot, deals 250 damage to any Golems within the blast radius. Costs 10r per use.
Health: 400 hp (200 hearts)

Siege Golem Items and Altered Item Functionality

Glowstone Dust, Redstone Dust, Redstone Torches, Lightning Rods and TNT are integral items when interacting with Siege Golems and using them to their full potential in battle. All projectiles fire in an arced enderpearl like trajectory wherever you are looking at the time of firing.

Glowstone Dust – Use as a tracer round to aim the trajectory of the TNT round.

Redstone Dust – Use to toggle coordinate mode. When toggled on, coordinates will be displayed where the tracer round lands.

Redstone Torch – Activate and fire the Siege Golem if a TNT is loaded.

Lightning Rod – Supercharge the damage and radius of the next TNT round, increasing it by 15% and dealing heavy damage to any Siege Golem within the blast radius.

TNT – The ammunition required by a Siege Golem to fire at the designated target.

Note: Siege Golems will not fire from within areas where the ‘Monster’ flag is disabled. The TNT rounds can still fly into the zone and explode (e.g. Siege Zone) but golems within that siege zone will not fire. Want to set up a siege golem defence within your faction land? Enable the Monster flag!

Obtaining a Siege Golem

Siege Golems can be obtained through visiting a Temple of Golemi, found throughout all of our survival worlds! Complete the quest at the temple and make the required sacrifice to spawn the Siege Golem at the temple! The required price is 400r and 10 iron blocks per Siege Golem spawned. Siege Golems also drop 100r on death.

Once a Siege Golem has spawned, use leashes to pull it back to your base. However, the large release of mystical energy from the Temple of Golemi may attract attention from others throughout our survival worlds, so come prepared!

Once spawned, Siege Golems have no intrinsic loyalty and can be used by all players that are able to interact with them.

The locations of the Temples of Golemi can be seen on our Dynamic Map, and will be able to spawn Siege Golems once live on the 24th July at 9PM BST/4PM EST!

These new additions to the battlefield are sure to shake up strategy and offer an alternative to those who prepare and invest in the defence of their faction or kingdom lands. Experiment with using them and discover their strengths and weaknesses!

Siege Golems and the Temples of Golemi will be live throughout our survival worlds on MassiveCraft on the 24th July at 9PM BST/4PM EST!
